Persia Sive Sophorum Regnum. Fine hand-colored example of Willem Janszoon Blaeu's map of Kingdom of Persia. The map extends from the Eastern Mediterranean to Tacalistan and the Indus River and the Dalanguer Mountains and the Cabul Region, with the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf in the South and Caspian and Tartaria in the North. A very detailed and highly decorative map, with dedication cartouche, decorative title cartouche, and sailing ships. Amsterdam c.1635. Frame size c.30in x 24in.
